"[Someone] predicts that the creation of advanced robots [could] lead to the destruction of the poor class: Due to improved techniques the elite will have greater control over the masses; and because human work will no longer be necessary the masses will be superfluous, a useless burden on the system.' [They] go further to state that the creation of these robots will give the elite the power to eliminate the poor class: 'If the elite is ruthless they may simply decide to exterminate the mass of humanity.'"

Any and all class`s of humanity could well be exterminated. Thats pretty easy to do, and could be done now without that much trouble. Its funny then that Kurzweil thinks it will stop at only one group. Why would it. If the poor have a similar technology, then they could just as well destroy another group also.
I don`t find what Kurzweil is saying particularly interesting. He is thinking in terms of the status quo. Why is that.? He then becomes part of the problem. Does he know about the Technocatic movement.? Have you gotten in contact with him to explain it to him.?
It sounds to me like he is just thinking like everyone else. Not creative. Price System value`s. This is a chicken way out of trying to come to grips with what is happening in the real world. He isn`t offering any solutions except robots killing people. Think about that. This guy is no intellectual. he may be good with tinkering around wires and connections though.

I might add that no human is worth more than any other human. Poor and rich are abstract concepts which do not mean any thing. They are part of our class or caste system. Money being an abstract concept, how can anyone use that as a tool to judge the worth of a human.? I find Kurzweil to be a dumb ass so far in the enlightened thinking department. He apparently can`t conceptualize outside the box.?

Not sure what you mean by exaggerated. That doesn`t sound good on the surface of it. Any class system would still be a class system. Our system, Technocracy use`s science to administer our social proposal. We use energy instead of money to measure things. No money would be used at all.
I am still wondering if any of you people actually know if this supposedly smart person has discussed , or even knows about , or has an opinion about the Technocracy movement.?

Well I don`t know what issue he is optimistic about. Ongoing growth of exponential price performance, or law of accelerating returns, in regard to a price system are Alice in Wonderland concepts. What is the value of money.? It has no value. Economics in a Price System is a pseudo-science.
That all these supposedly smart gentleman are relating to it like it is a real thing is comical.
As far as citations for quotes I can help there. Go to Technocracy Movement , on Wikipedia and capture the file for the 1934 Technocracy Study Course. Go to the Chapter, The Price System. and give it a read. Another place would be my own book which is Beyond the Cloak of Deception - Politics , Religion & Economics in the Price System It is available also along with the Study Course at my website, www.technocracynow.org Both are free downloads. The Study Course as mentioned came out of Columbia University in the early thirties. Written mainly by M.King Hubbert a scientist known now mostly for the Hubbert Curve. He and a few others wrote our Study Course. It is a design for a new society. It has our complete plan in it.
We are looking for new members now by the way. Our group is growing and needs help. We get rid of our political system, and use a secular scientific system . No more money either. Hence no more rich or poor. We use the land area of North America because of the resource base. Canada, U.S. Mexico and central America. Then we use an energy accounting system to keep track of population and resource demands. Not money. You get an energy debit card as a right of citizenship. You don`t buy things anymore. Just get what you want, or need.
That is just an intimation of a little of our program.
Lots of freedom and creativity involved in our program. We also make it well known that since 1913 we should have changed almost completely into a different kind of society. Vested interest in controlling peoples belief systems has prevented that . Again the human can maybe put out a third of a horse power as an energy source. A machine, so much more you can`t even compare the two.
Anonymatt , I just don`t see where Kurzweil and the other you quoted have it together in the big picture if they don`t understand some of those points. They sound like flunkies for the system Ala Bill Gates . If you check out my book read the chapter- I am the Price System = first. Have fun with it , and I would still request that any of you who might know this Kurzweil ask him some of these questions. Or possibly inform him of some alternatives that he may be unaware of . It appears he is not aware of Technocracy.

Another interesting site is one run by Richard Anders called
Communistrobot.com
I have just discovered this site, and it is well done and to the point.
Our system is a scarcity based system.
Machines will replace humans for service related jobs in the future. Then what.? Capitalism doesn`t work in that situation , unless it is turned even more into a kind of very strange slave state. It just has no future. How can we hang on to it.? Richard is an articulate spokesperson for the logic that the way we do things now , will not work in the future.
I am still wondering if Kuzweil is a good mechanic, but not so smart in vision of the future. If he does understand the path we are on , as do the people at the communist robot site , why isn`t he known as a person who has thought about and debated different aspects of the Technocracy movement.? I urge you to go to Communist Robot site and look at his posts concerning Technocracy. I also urge you to get in touch with Kurzweil and rattle his cage. Like all supposed hero`s this guy may need a reality check.

Brandon I would like to make the suggestion that you link your site with the communistrobot.com site .
You two should be linked in my opinion. Some of the issue`s you two bring up are very similar. Could you do that.? Perhaps contact Richard Anders of that site and ask if that would be possible. Thanks.

Again money won`t go away if we maintain our class or caste system. Money is the control mechanism for that. The economic club held over the head. Work or Starve. Work or no place to live , health care etc.
Let me ask you anonymatt whether you actually do see any sign of that going away.?
The corporations control our political world. The religious people are used as front people for them.
Belief systems are inculcated regardless of rationality.
The tyranny of parents is absolute . Mothers force their children to church`s and places to be brain washed. Why.? They don`t really know themselves. Not beyond the fact that they have a vague idea that they should.
Is money going away of its own.? I don`t think so. It has to be exposed in all its stupidity for what it actually is.
A thing that is destroying us, and will destroy us in a very humiliating manner even more so in the future unless it is dropped.
